Apps adding themselves to the home screen on install is configurable, and I believe Samsung, the most popular Android manufacturer by a hilariously wide margin, doesn't do that by default. The app drawer is also alphabetized by default, if I recall.
With all of the control means the onus to take that control because Android does not exist to hold your hand like iToddlers need.
