Now, this is where #activitypub enters: a decentralized digital badge system on top of the #fediverse.

I though about an AP server that have actors, and each actor is a badge type (e.g. mentor, hackathon participant, volunteer of the month, etc.).Each actor will use activity types, for example to Create an object. The object is the Document type.AP already have a public/private key design, so the activities will be digital signed and we can show the signature and generate the fingerprint.
