@mona Most cell phones already run the kernel, Linux, as that's what Android uses.

The difference is that the Pinephone has a number of BusyBox/Linux distributions available for it (although you can thankfully install GNU via package managers).

Maybe a Replicant port to the Pinephone wouldn't be too bad.
