    I moved to the UK on an "exceptional talent" visa, which I got based on my career history, publications, and patents. My permanent residence was fast tracked, and I can apply for citizenship in December after only five years of living here.

    Meanwhile, I wouldn't qualify as a "skilled worker" in Canada because I don't have a degree.

    Regardless, though, I stand up to bullies, and I usually win, though sometimes it takes a while.
