I’ve had a similar thought. My suspicion is that there are simply too many confounders to make that feasible. Maybe in a meta-analysis across schools. But I’m not a statistician, so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will say that we have anecdotally observed what seems to be a low rate of in-classroom transmission; main culprits seem to be dorms and off-campus spaces. But that’s just eyeballs and stories, not systematic data collection. We don't really know.
