@Zennagain idk about this. it's not constitutionally illegal because states are supposed to have autonomy over internal politics.

it's probably not a good idea, although switzerland does this to a limited degree and it hasn't become armageddon there.

i still lean towards Heinleinian "service for citizenship" but idk if that would have had any bearing on these outcomes
