I kind of wish leftist spaces online were willing to engage with and talk about speciesism a bit more.

But it's hard enough to even talk about veganism, which is such a small part of anti-speciesism. Proposing that there's an oppressive system of human supremacy and struggling against that as members of the dominant, privileged group is hella hard work and unlearning but necessary because it's intersected with all other struggles of marginalized humans against dominant humans is well...a tough pill that no one wants to swallow.

I include me in this, of course, because I am equally criticizing my own slacking off in engaging with these discussions and instead forgo it for more palettable discourse that (some) people will agree with me on.
