@tokyo_0 somewhat related, I tried to get our PTA to install an air quality monitor at our elementary school so admin and parents could make informed decisions during heavy wildfire smoke (indoor recess etc)
It was about 50-50 but eventually got voted down bc people didn’t want the info public, I guess so parents wouldn’t have cause to scream “AQI is 300 on campus right now—why isn’t school closed!!” at admin or secretary
I would bet that’s part of it — liability/accountability
