Not really. Evolution is adaptive natural selection plus time. The trouble is always in time. Monkey typewriter Shakespeare amounts of time and an ever changing environment with adaptive pressures make "evolution". Darwin was wrong about a ton and Lamarck was more correct than the 20th century wants to admit, but both were just attempts to map an understanding of nature.
