so whatever pfp someone uploads — that’s a picture of them. whatever handle they type in — that’s their name. there is no higher authority on who someone is than they themselves are

this fundamental right is at the heart of what trans people everywhere are fighting for, and anyone who disagrees might need to examine their own transphobia a little bit maybe
