@mk @greyknight maybe not Really though. I definitely see what you mean. But in Wall-e the only reason this happens to the people there is because they trash the planet, leave it, fail to clean it up. And then they send the AI autopilot the directive to never return.
That's the only reason they are fat. Their ship has facilities to keep people healthy. But the autopilot decided to make people weak and useless. To fulfill its directive.

But sure. Instead of auto we could have humans do this.
