I'm only surprised by the insult replies on this because I haven't been getting them on posts that are far more directly critical of Biden and the US. Could just be that I got boosted by someone with a lot of "blue team" followers, or it could be that saying the US isn't really a democracy runs directly counter to the Biden campaign's messaging that democracy is at stake in this election.

There is a lot at stake in this election. Whether or not we're a democracy is not one of those things. We'll still have the Electoral College if Biden wins. Most House seats will still be uncompetitive if Biden wins. We'll have the same illegitimate, corrupt Supreme Court if Biden wins.

But I guess it's far more comfortable to believe that the reason your guy is unpopular is because of some Russian conspiracy than because he's aiding and abetting a genocide and completely out of touch with the working class.
