subtype@eris I don’t have nearly that much experience, but I think I get it; during my time volunteering at a local NGO with libs and devout churchgoers (doing stuff from sorting and packing clothes that went to Ukraine, to less impactful things like organizing a used book fair) even though that wasn’t much in the grand scheme of things, it was still more than larping and screeching online (and such people would surely get my boss cancelled for letting the fan club of one somewhat nasty right wing newspaper to have their meetings in our building).
