yes, but I also think insurance has ruined it. they charge the insurance companies a lot more than if you pay privately. so there’s a scam running. Just look at the bills, there’s adjustments all over the place and you have no idea what your being charged for or what your getting half the time. If you choose to pay cash I bet bill is half, maybe 2/3ds what they would charge insurance. so my insurance is paying for the people who can’t pay the hospital, and I can barley afford my own insurance. The whole system is fucked.
