i played with a few of these backwhen. there used to be a mac app called devonsearch that did that. you gave it terms and it would try to search pages for you and then re-rank them after the fact. i don't think i really got much use of it back in the day but maybe some people did.

i've been tinkering with kagi and they have been alright.

some local neural search indexes as well. very hype about how cheap it is to do neural search, self hosted, on your own laptop, no fancy gpu needed :ablobcatbongo:
