There's a protein in pregnant women that is anti y-chromosome because it sees it as a foreign body. The more boys had the more the protein shows up, sort of like mismatched rH blood types causing serious issues by 3rd pregnancy if not treated. Funny thing is they never tried to correct for this because that would be eugenics or something 🙄 and they only figured out the connection the late 90s or so.
