@hotdogsladies It's sad that in our first apartment the phone lines were new enough (digital) that they could only support 28.8 modems.

Worse, I was told that we would have DSL in there, but alas that was an AT&T-sized lie. Couldn't even break through to 56Kbps. It was like living in a rural area with a Meijer and a Walmart within walking distance.

Monstrous.
