I know I fully believe it.

The best model to understand neoliberalism and the dystopic capitalist system it brought about is religion. Its practicioners follow their holy gospel that utterly ignores the evidence that doesn't fit with its theories.

For instance, it takes a lot of uncritical belief to think that economic growth will eventually fix inequality and the environment--things the neoliberals still preach to this day.
