@wakame I learned long ago that inch-based screw threads generally go in the opposite direction from millimeter-based screw threads. But looking around I seem to be wrong and most screws are tightened clockwise regardless of system of measurement.

But there is surprisingly little mention of handedness at a first look at various Wikipedia and other articles about ISO screws, screw threads etc.

I'm pretty sure e.g. an M6 screw is supposed to be tightened clockwise, but there is no mention of that at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_metr… .
