I don't need to use "fragment" or anything like a "anonymous" phone operator to make an XMPP account or server, or IRC, or Matrix, or even discord for that matter. I can just hit my keyboard with my fists a couple times and be done with it - there's my username and password, i can chat already. No need for email either at that stage, it's optional.
