Signal can do the key handshake in person with qrcodes or through exchanging the key itself (idk abt telegram)
Telegram is VK owned and wwhile it appears they havent done shit with that yet, they might do the shit whatssapp did where it's "E2E encrypted" but the encryption key is in the facebook apps folder like messenger and facebook has access to it.
Signal has released multiple subpoenas and shown that all the spooks can get out of it is your username, date of first connection and date of last connection. Yes that's info. No I don't care if the spooks see it.
