Large public #Matrix rooms are under a prolonged #spam assault. I don’t run any rooms nor any servers, but ISTM that something similar to WordPress’s Akismet should be possible, automatically blocking most spam from propagating to or through specific servers and rooms.

A deluge of spam can easily push a room’s useful post / unuseful post ratio down into unuseful territory and chase away users.
