This makes a lot more sense, I've seen a lot places which give zero fuck about the idea of following upstream and feature/fix backports. It's weird when forks break everything just because they can't work with upstream close together.
There's a dozen of Misskey forks and Pleroma ones, yet they all die, fart and die together over some time.
And I have a bit similar feelings towards Akkoma, a suspicion that it will also silently die. This is rather a hasty assumption drawn from the fact that I didn't see any activity in the repository since 2 months.
