MAUTHAUSEN DEATH CAMP always scared me as a child. It was perhaps one of the worst concentration camps ever.

Here's a picture of the "Staircase of #Death": Prisoners were forced to carry massive granite boulders up the Stairs of Death at #Mauthausen.

In the second picture, you can see an example of one of the back-carriers that was used at Mauthausen. Imagine having to carry something like this. Utterly evil.
