Biden just sanctioned Texas over their decision to actually uphold basic federal and state level immigration laws, aside from this being essentially an act of war against a sovereign US state with at least a cultural belief that they have the right to secede at any time (they really don't but the belief persists in spite of that) this is also likely just going to blow up in the administrations face like their Russian sanctions did, with Russia now being almost entirely independent of Western Markets, not sure how that will shake out for Texas but I expect that something similar will happen locally, maybe some red state localized economic network or something.
