@kaia loop ears are more comfortable i've found. my KZs have those.

there is a little plastic jacket on top of the cable thats been fit in to the hook shape. the weight of the drivers end up partly shared by the lobe so you aren't purely using suction in the canal to hold it in place.

even better are little silicone ribs so it actually sockets in to the conch of the ear, but those are rare.
