This was such a weird/fun project at Apple.

Back in the day we also made a sky blue and black leather variant of this. It was a hoot.

I want to stress that the only part that is skeuomorphic about this leather UI was the tiny little distance ‘sign’ I designed, which actually survived the iOS 7 redesign!

Skeuomorphic doesn’t mean materials, gradients, shadows. It means an interface resembles a real life object.
