@jeffcliff in the geopolitical arena, you don't get very far in the long term unless you're capable of engaging is good-faith diplomacy. empire only works if you can indefinitely sustain a military-industrial advantage over every other actor.

@Moon i will grant that individual mutualism has limits, but i think states should also engage in mutualistic behavior unless we all want unlimited war forever. at a certain point, political leaders and individuals have to realize that they can't kill and/or dominate their way out of every problem.
