Israel can just blow up a city and killing thousands of people. The only country that might be able to stop this and force a ceasefire is the USA.

However, when you ask US politicians about this, the most sympathetic response will be a combination of "But what about October 7th?" and also "But we're *asking* the Israelis to kill slightly fewer civilians!"

You know what would kill the least number of civilians? A ceasefire, that's what.
