I missed it at first too and people linked them to me (I didn't save them though) he was really unclear at first which made everything worse and then dialed it back a bit but again, vaguely, and then made more statements that indicated he wasn't clarifying he was in damage control mode. it wasn't totally clear if he meant NAS server people or the association with the Fediverse. Then he pointed out some racist posts on the NAS server so he clearly was talking about the show-associated server.

To make him happy the server was sunsetted so the content wouldn't have the association to his show anymore, and the gentleman running it for him created a new server without that association for people to move to.

as I said nobody really knows the sequence of events that led Adam to make this decision. Some people suspect outside pressure. I think it's a mix of things. Even before this he made some posts where he was like "this place sucks". He was getting tired of it. Which is okay, people change, but also he was kind of precious about some interactions with him, which is totally on him and not a real problem with the server. I suspect that he's gone through some life changes and didn't want the content of the server waiting like a land mine to go off one day and wreck his irl social connections.
