I named it "My Dang Camera" (<a href="https://machines.social/tags/mdc" rel="tag">#mdc</a>) because I enjoy open hardware that I own instead of the physical projections of hypercorps into my life. My general plan: - refine the printable camera shell design until it feels nice in my hand - design PCBs for the top and rear of the camera to handle input like button presses and jog wheel movement - play around with a few different SBCs, camera sensors, batteries, and lens standards to find something I like - glue together some of the existing open source camera code to create a comfy UX I'm inspired by all of the camera projects on Hackaday as well as the Apertus and CinePi projects but I want a "vloggers camera" with the flip-around display and with less tight integration so that I can swap components in and out without needing to redesign everything from scratch.</div><footer></footer></article></li></ol></footer></blockquote>

Also, I want to learn more about hackable camera sensor and lens standards so a modular and mutable camera body seems like a good start down that road.
