Based on a quick search for static blog generators, the following would be the top options:

* Hugo
* Eleventy
* Pelican

There are a ton of #Javascript based solutions. I'd much prefer a solution in a language I’m familiar with, thus Go or Python.

For Go: Hugo, Gozer, Journey,
For Python: ABlog, Hyde, Makesite, Nikola, Pelican, Stapy, Tinkerer.

For the first round of selection I will look at: 1) is the project active; 2) GitHub stars, 3) suggestions from Fediverse
