Substack has decided to be slightly less hypocritical -- though no more coherent about what its policy actually is, which is the norm in social media.

This will likely defuse the Nazi bar issue for semi-critics who were looking for reasons to stick with the platform.

My position hasn't changed: I won't renew the paid subscriptions for newsletters that remain there, and am unsubscribing from the rest.

Newsletter authors: I am paying for subscriptions on other platforms.
