I finally finished #Vol2 of #CookAndSee yesterday, and am into #Vol3, Pickles chapter.
The first chapters continue directly from Vol2, and provide a few recipes each for Soups, Koottu, Poritha Kuzhambu, Thuvaiyal, podi, pickles, Rasams, Pachadi and more. These have been covered in Vol1 and Vol2 but it is like Ammal thought of some other recipes she wanted included.
Then it is BACK to Tiffin recipes, already covered extensively in the first two volumes. It attests to the importance of tiffin in Tamil Nadu. I can't wait to see the additional recipes she has included.
This volume finishes up with information on and recipes for weddings (a huge deal) and some festivals and observances.
There are some pages written by PS Sankaran on Guidelines for Planning and Conducting Marriages; and Functions and Festivals following the Marriage.
I'll keep you up to date with my dive into this volume over the next 6 or 7 days.
