    Copyright supporters in 2018: We need AI to prevent piracy! Let's pass a law requiring all online communication to be scanned by an AI to decide whether or not it is copyright infringement. AI is definitely smart enough to do the job of a judge. Oh, and of course speech approved by a large traditional publisher is except: we wouldn't want any pesky AI accusing US of copyright infringement.

    Copyright advocates in 2024: The existence of AI is copyright infringement, unless a large traditional publisher does it.
