For JSON-only folks it is not so much a problem as a question about merit. "Why would I use it?". In practice they don't, just throw in some @context for good measure.

This context, while minimally helpful, does not say which props are required/optional in msg exchanges to a particular endpoint and what exchanges to expect.

Actual practice is that there's not yet a robust extension mechanism, and people study codebase + issue trackers to see figure out integration with some app.
