@Hyolobrika @sun_eater no it's not really that. it's more accurately defined as a kind of sex cult practice where you get close to someone who is cis, coax out incriminating information on them, love bomb them, then blackmail them into (among other things) identifying as trans, getting on HRT, and doing other things like cutting and similar methods of self harm, a popular image is cutting the name of your proverbial owner into yourself on some hidden and unassuming place and then photographing it so there is yet more blackmail material on you. so called "egg cracking" and "transmaxxing" are separate practices entirely and don't have anywhere near the harm potential.
