I'm tired of hearing Purdy haters say that the only reason is doing so well is because of the "system" that he's playing in and the quality of the players that he has around him.
Do they feel the same way about Joe Montana (HOF) & Steve Young (HOF) who won 5 SB betwen them, who played in Bill Walsh's (HOF) system with players on offense like Jerry Rice, Tom Rathman, John Taylor, Freddie Solomon, Roger Craig, Dwight Clark & Brent Jones & players on defense like Bubba Harris, Ronnie Lott, Dwight Hicks, Keena Turner, Fred Dean, Charles Haley Dana McLemore, Bryant Young & Dana Stubblefield -- among many other other great players on both sides of the ball.
Fact is, what made Montana & Young great was being able to execute Walsh's system with the help of all of the other players. No help, no execution, no greatness.
Neither JimmyG nor Lance would do what Purdy's doing.
Only Purdy has been able to do it by executing Shanahan's system w/the help of the rest of the team.
Mic drop! 😎
