@jomo nope, it's not that simple. Some sites won't give you the Opengraph/Twittercard tags unless you have Bot in your user agent and some sites likely reject requests to media if you have Bot in your user agent

I had to put Bot in Pleroma's to fix link previews to a bunch of news sites. We don't embed image links but if we wanted to I expect I'd need to do the same thing to make it work everywhere with confidence
