Elen Le Foll 🇫🇷 🇬🇧 🇩🇪@academicchatter @ehud I like to give students 1-2 minutes to discuss something with the person sat next to them before I ask the entire group. I find more students volunteer to essentially repeat what they just said to their partner to the entire group then if I ask without the first round. Also, I use polls a lot. So I ask a question, display the whole class results and then ask: would someone who answered X like to explain why?
