@elysegrasso i listen to a(n excellent) podcast called "the way with words", where the hosts answer caller queries about the english language.

on an episode just last week they responded to a caller with this very point! something to the effect of, 'stuffing the fat feet of english into the small stockings of latin.'

but, yeah, i'll admit that it'll take me some time before i'm comfortable ending a sentence with a preposition!
