it was so legitimately disheartening to watch this play out because everything was handled in the best way possible

you were available, in communication, present - you were informed about legality around some images and responded by removing them + went above and beyond in posting md5 hash so people could check if it had federated to them and remove it

people flipped out so hard about it that iirc graf was telling ppl the md5 hash itself was illegal, possibly deeply confusing a lot of onlookers as to what they were supposed to do with the hash and how it was there to help them
