@bronze @sickburnbro They do and it does. They've fostered a belief that Europe doesn't pay it's fair share for it's defense and that the US is always stuck picking up the tab. Obviously this is most common with older people, but the apathetic younger generations that only have a surface level understanding and only when it's brought up in the news will tend to accept that reasoning.
