opt-in can and WILL be used for fingerprinting because Google will use language such as "well you can disable this but it might break some pages and is generally bad so don't" and most people will opt in

there is NO REASON for a website to know your GPU model. that API was supposed to be exclusive to extensions and "privileged" pages (e.g. AMO or Chrome extensions) until Google decided "well actually" and made it public
