I do often look things up before I post, because so much of my pre-internet knowledge turned out to be garbage and wives tales. For example, lampshades and bars of soap, plague blankets, black moths in England, and the Tasaday tribe. I'll remember some factoid and I'll look it up to make sure it didn't get deboonked since I heard it.
