Unlike most commentators, I’ve nothing special to say about AI/LLM tech or its impact on society because, like most people, I don’t really understand it.

On the subject of money, though, I’m puzzled: This stuff is expensive to run. So these stratospheric valuations imply the likelihood of stratospheric profits which, given the underlying costs, implies the existence of benefits that a LOT of people are going to be willing to pay a LOT of money for. I wonder what they are?
