@dew_the_dew That's because of kabbalah. Most occult traditions in the West have kabbalistic elements in them. If you want to avoid that shit you can get into runelore. Also, interestingly enough, kabbalah is a mishmash of everybody else's occult ideas over the centuries. Jews plagiarized a lot of other peoples. It's just that, unlike a lot of other groups in antiquity, Jews began relying on written instead of oral tradition earlier than most other peoples, so they got to get credit for a lot of the ideas they aped.
