Existential risks are those that permanently curtail the human and posthuman potential. Global catastrophic risks are those that cause utilitarian damage equivalent to killing 50 million people.
Although women have been the powerful sex for well over two million years (2 billion in fact) they only entered the economy with full force in the last 2/3rds of a century, and they only entered discourse as agents in the last 30, and they only entered power in academia in the last 20 or so. Women always had control over sex and mating, but that control was shared with family, friends, and norms of policing such as slut shaming, Jesus and so on, they only entered full unbridled control in the last 10.
Women had a speciation event in 1965, where a new subspecies of hormonally altered women was introduced. There has also been some drift in the hormones of everyone, not just women, due to phytoestrogens and other hormonal influences due to eating plants and plastics, among other things.
Women are weaker and locally restricted in action, so they only obtained full control over the upper society around 2007, when Urban population reached 50% worldwide, from 10% in 1800. This process of course was exacerbated by information and services economies where strength is irrelevant.
