Managed to write something which, given a long/lat and zoom, can grab a single OpenStreetMap tile as a PNG under #plan9 and then retrieve it with hget.

Now I need to decide where to go from here. I can either read the window dimensions via /dev/window and try and grab multiple tiles to make an interactive map program or I can try to write a file system for interacting with OSM.
