@McPatrick @kevinrns they can't be relied upon for the base load, that's the problem. They will need to be supplemented with huge battery farms.

I really want this to work and we shouldn't give up or slow down but the reality is that we use 1 cubic mile of oil per year (worldwide) and this amount of energy is more than people can imagine. If we took 50 years to replace oil it would take the attached image 50x.
